PARTIAL ZERO EMISSION VEHICLE (PZEV) EMISSION WARRANTY COVERAGE

 

Although Subaru of America, Inc. has made 2008 PZEV vehicles available in all 50 states, the vehicles’ 15-year or 150,000-mile emissions warranty is extended only in states that have adopted the LEV standards.

 

For 2008 Subaru Legacy, Outback, and Forester 2.5L non-turbo models certified as Partial Zero Emission Vehicles that are sold, registered, and operated in California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, or Vermont, all emission parts are covered for 15 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. 100,000TH SUBARU OUTBACK PZEV VEHICLE SOLD

 

To date, Subaru of America, Inc. has sold more than 100,000 Subaru Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) models. PZEV certified Legacy, Outback, and Forester models are available for sale anywhere in the United States. These normally aspirated vehicles are Smart-Way™ certified by the Environmental Protection Agency, meaning that the vehicles achieve predetermined levels on tests for emissions and fuel economy.

 

PZEV vehicles are the cleanest gasoline vehicles available today, and they meet emissions standards that are sometimes even cleaner than some hybrid or alternative fuel vehicles.
