Forester Wins It Again

Winter 2014

Since 1949, car enthusiasts have waited and watched for Motor Trend’s annual, coveted vehicle awards – considered by enthusiasts and savvy consumers to be the pinnacle of praise by the popular automotive press.

There’s only one car … one truck … and one SUV selected by Motor Trend’s discerning staff. Needless to say, Subaru is excited and honored, because being selected for a Motor Trend award is no easy achievement.

“This award validates all the hard work we put into our vehicles to make them the best they can be. The engineering, the innovation, the design, safety, and durability. These are all the things we measure ourselves against. Now it’s nice to know these are the same criteria that Motor Trendrecognizes us for as well,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc.

Making these evaluations, the Motor Trend staff fell in lovewith the Forester. You can read in detail what they have to say about the Forester in Motor Trend’s December 2013 issue.

Motor Trend recognized the all-new 2014 Subaru Forester as the top Sport/Utility of the year from a highly competitive field of SUVs. Equally impressive is that Motor Trend has chosen two generations of Forester for this prestigious award – the 2009 and 2014 versions. (And Outback won it in 2010!)

Plus, this isn’t the only honor garnered by the 2014 Forester. It has earned the highest ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (TOP SAFETY PICK+)1 and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (five stars).
