How do I safely carry skis, snowboards and snowshoes in my Subaru?

If you’re traveling alone or with a few passengers in your 2022 Subaru Ascent, Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, WRX or WRX STI – you’ll have the space inside for skis because every model features a split-folding rear seat configuration that allows longer items to pass through from the cargo area. For skis that are in bags, it’s an excellent option.

But if you have a lot of extra gear to transport or you’re traveling with a group of people, one of the rooftop carrier accessories could provide the extra room.

Thule Ski and Snowboard Carrier

Thule manufactures this carrier that’s designed to carry up to six pairs of skis or four snowboards securely, thanks to ultrasoft rubber-padded arms that clamp gear in place without scratching either the tops or the waxed surfaces.
