Laurie Szpot is the associate editor of Drive. She was formerly a supplement editor and writer for Milwaukee Magazine. Her work has also appeared in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Ozaukee News Graphic, Marquette Journal, Frogpond and other publications. She lives in the Milwaukee area.

Craig Fitzgerald is a writer and editor in the suburbs of Boston. He’s the automotive editor at Drive, with a focus on advanced safety and semi-autonomous technologies. He was the editor of Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car and acts as the editor in chief at NPR’s CarTalk.com.

Catie Joyce-Bulay is a Maine-based freelance journalist focused on travel, farming, local food systems and craft beer. Sheʼs been published in Down East, Northwest Travel & Life, Modern Farmer and more.

Kat Barber is a freelance writer who covers sustainability, travel, tech and lifestyle for Lonely Planet, BBC, Insider and more. She loves road-tripping in her white 2021 Subaru Forester.

James Stout is an investigative journalist with a doctorate in modern European history. His writing and photography have appeared in National Geographic, Esquire, Smithsonian, Lapham’s Quarterly, Undark and The Appeal. He’s trained in wilderness medicine, basic life support and combat casualty care.

Anaheed Saatchi is a freelance journalist who covers themes of intentional community building, diaspora and identity politics. Theyʼve been published in Outside^®, Alpinist and Explore. In 2018, they co-founded the rock climbing collective BelayAll.

Dakota Kim covers culture, food, travel and TV. She has written for The New York Times, NPR, Vox, Sunset and Food52 and is the digital editor at Edible San Luis Obispo.
